Just Some Random Thoughts About The Bible
-
I believe in the One True God; Jesus, who was sent to die and was resurrected after three days; and the Holy Spirit. I believe that Jesus and the Holy Spirit were present at the time of creation.
I believe the Bible is the true inerrant Word of God. However, I do not believe that God/Jesus ever told us the books that make up the New Testament are the inerrant Word of God. (The New Testament was put forth as “Bible” by leaders of the Catholic church via arguing and compromising sometime around 300AD, not divine intervention.) I believe we can trust Matthew, John, James, Peter, and Jude. I believe we can trust Acts from an historical perspective. I am unsure of Mark and Luke.
I believe that Paul was the false apostle that Jesus warned us about, and confirmed through John in Revelation 2. I believe Paul’s own words and contradictions confirm that he was indeed a false apostle.
I believe that Jesus was sent to die for the lost sheep of the House of Israel in order to restore the marriage covenant that God had made with Israel, but was severed by Israel’s infidelity. I believe that the Gentile’s path to salvation has not changed, and it is to be grafted in, just as it was for the Egyptians who followed the Hebrews out of bondage, or Nineveh when they repented of their sins and were saved.
I believe that Christianity is a false religion as a result of Paul’s false teachings. Jesus said few will find the narrow gate, yet Christianity is a worldwide community of roughly two billion believers.
